Photo Memory Collage

You will learn how to transfer a copy of your photograph onto fabric, and choose some of your special fabrics to collage around the photo to create lasting memories. Get those fabrics out into the open rather than stored in the loft!

Come and share ideas and memories whilst creating black and white images from your photos, transfer these onto fabric and enjoy the process of choosing fabrics to wrap around the photo.

​All materials are included – bring your own photos and special fabrics – but there will be plenty of spare fabrics around to choose from.

Workshop includes:
Base fabrics, transfer gel, tracing paper, Bondaweb
Bring your sewing machine with needles/scissors/threads

Ankara Headdress Workshop

During this workshop participants will be guided through the process of making an Ankara Headdress whilst opening discussions about helping to achieve a more sustainable future through the protection and respect of handcraft techniques that inherently support both sustainable and ethical practices. This workshop is part of a series of workshops held in both Oxford and Lagos. As a group we will also consider the quiet power of making together, breaking down cultural barriers, and creating a space where connections can be built through our global craft community.
