From Fossils and Feathers to Totem Series

Anni is a mixed media artist, working mainly with textiles, to create two and three-dimensional art.

She loves to create texture. She also loves things that are old and decaying; antiqued. Anni is based in Canada and finds her inspiration mainly in nature and her West Coast surroundings.

In this compelling lecture, renowned textile artist Naushin takes the audience on a journey through the powerful intersection of art and societal norms. Focused on the theme of breaking stereotypes, Naushin’s talk explores how textile art becomes a medium for challenging preconceived notions and fostering cultural evolution.

Nettles Still Got the Edge

Brigitte is a sustainable handweaver and textile designer working with nettle yarn. She will demonstrate how to extract fibre from nettles for use as string or for spinning.

Jill Kipnis

Inspirational Embroidery

Jill is an expert in embroidery who loves teaching all types of embroidery from the traditional techniques like goldwork, blackwork, and crewel work to modern techniques like machine embroidery.

 Trained at The Royal School of Needlework, top student in the year and  went on to gain a BA Hons Textiles & Fashion from the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design.

It Just Started with a Little Bit of Cross Stitch

Korry is a textile artist and an embroidery tutor specialised in hand embroidery. Stumpwork, Goldwork and Silk Shading are her ‘go to’ techniques.

Absolutely obsessed with colour and always on the look out for new goldwork supplies Loetitia ended up opening Korry’s Little Shop.
